Before you begin
- You must have permission to manage Linewize Parent.
The guardian’s Qustodio account has a different email address
Parent only allows users to connect to their children if their Qustodio guardian account email addresses match the ones in Linewize Filter.
If you’re syncing guardian’s details from a School Information System (SIS), update the guardian’s email address in your school’s SIS.
If you’ve added a guardian’s details in Linewize Filter using a CSV, update the guardian’s email address in Linewize Filter > Parent > Parent Management > Edit Parent Details.
The guardian can use the school guardian registration link to log in and connect to their child’s school-managed device once their email addresses in Qustodio and Linewize Filter match.
The guardian details haven’t been added to Linewize Filter
If the guardian sees the message “This doesn’t seem to match the email your school sent the invite to.”, their details haven’t been added to Linewize Filter.
Go to the Parent Management page to check if the parent is present in Linewize Filter, otherwise follow the steps to add the guardian in Linewize Filter.
The guardian has created a Qustodio account without using your school-provided link
Guardians must use your school’s registration link. Ask the guardian to connect to their child again using your school’s registration link. If they can’t connect to their child, please contact Linewize Support for help.
The guardian is restricted or removed from the student
Check if someone has intentionally restricted or removed the guardian from the student.
Schools can restrict a guardian from connecting to their child in Qustodio for legal reasons or when another guardian has requested it. The Restrict Student feature gives you the flexibility to handle these cases.
The guardian was removed from the student by accident
If you didn’t mean to remove the guardian, this may have happened due to:
- End-of-year changes in your School Information System
- Changes to your authentication settings with Linewize Filter
Contact Linewize Support if you believe a guardian has been unintentionally removed.
