In some cases, schools or districts may need to restrict specific guardians from viewing a student’s activity through the Qustodio Parent App. This may be required for legal reasons, such as custody arrangements or court orders.
Linewize Filter allows you to restrict (shown below) or remove a guardian from accessing a specific student’s data. Once restricted, the guardian can no longer view the student's online activity.
Note
If your school syncs data from a Student Information System (SIS), restrictions won't be removed through a SIS sync.
Before you begin
- You must have permission to manage Linewize Parent.
Restrict a guardian
- Go to Linewize Filter > Parent > Parent Management.
- In the search box, enter the guardian’s name or email address.
- Select the arrow icon.
- A new window will appear. Find the relevant student, then select Restrict Student.
- A confirmation window will appear. Select Restrict.
Unrestrict a guardian
- Go to Linewize Filter > Parent > Parent Management.
- In the search box, enter the guardian’s name or email address.
- Select the arrow icon.
- A new window will appear. Find the relevant student, then select Unrestrict Student.
- A confirmation window will appear. Select Unrestrict.
