You can exclude specific students or groups from having their Timelines shared with their parents or guardians in Linewize Parent. The parents or guardians of excluded students can’t see Student Timeline data, even if they are connected to the student in Parent.
Before you begin
- You must have permission to manage Linewize Parent.
- Make sure you have either:
- A group in Linewize Filter with the students you want to exclude.
- The username in Linewize Filter of the student you want to exclude.
Manage Timeline Exclusions
- Go to Linewize Filter > Parent > Parental Controls.
- Select Manage Timeline Exclusions. The Manage Exclusions dialog will appear.
- In the Exclude Groups field, enter the name of the group containing users you want to exclude.
- Select the group name from the matching results. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more groups.
- In the Exclude Users field, enter the username of the students you want to exclude.
- Select the username from the matching results. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add more users.
- Select Save Exclusions.
- Select Save.
