As a Linewize Filter Owner/Global Administrator, you can preview the Academy’s Classwize training content before you turn on the Academy. The Academy is Qoria’s product training platform. It provides certified courses and video tutorials for your end users on using Classwize.
Before you begin
- Academy content is best for schools using Linewize Connect for Chrome or Linewize Companion Mode. Schools using Connect for macOS or Connect for Windows may find that training doesn't fully reflect their users’ experience.
- You must have a Linewize Filter account with the Owner/Global Administrator role.
- You must have at least one teacher in your Teacher Group.
Preview Academy training courses
- Sign in to Linewize Filter.
- On your Dashboard, select Sign in as Teacher.
- In the Sign in as Teacher window, enter three or more characters to search for a teacher.
- Select Sign In. Classwize will open in a new tab showing the teacher’s My Classes dashboard.
- Select Academy from the top navigation menu, then select the training you want to preview.
- Select Start the course (certificate course) or play the video (video training).
Frequently Asked Questions
If I complete a course while signed in as a teacher, does it count toward their progress?
No. If you sign in to Classwize using the Sign in as Teacher tool, the Academy won’t track your training completions or count them towards the teacher’s progress. You also won’t receive a certificate of completion on their behalf.
Why can’t I see the Academy after signing in to Classwize?
There are two reasons why you might not see the Academy button in Classwize after signing in as a teacher:
- You signed in to Classwize from your school’s Classwize sign-in URL.
When the Classwize Training module is off, you must sign into the Academy using Linewize Filter’s Sign in as Teacher tool to preview content. If you sign directly into Classwize from your school’s Classwize URL, and you have not turned on the Academy, you won’t see the Academy button or any Academy training.
- An authorised contact asked us to turn off all product training.
Linewize Support can turn off the Academy completely and hide the Product Training button in Linewize Filter. If you have the Owner/Global Administrator role and can’t see the Product Training button in Linewize Filter, Linewize Support has turned off the Academy for your school. Contact Linewize Support if you need to to turn it back on.
