Engage parents and guardians using Weekly Reports

This article is for IT Support at schools using Linewize Community.

Community’s Weekly Reports are an easy way to introduce Linewize Community and Qustodio features to parents and guardians, and you can monitor their effectiveness by tracking Community uptake. Once a week, Community will automatically email updates on their child’s internet activity directly to parents and guardians who haven’t yet signed up for Qustodio. The email will also ask parents and guardians to create a Qustodio account to stay engaged with their child's internet use.

A Linewize Community representative will help you set up Weekly Reports and customise them to exclude specific students or groups. You can also opt parents and guardians out if they prefer not to receive updates, ensuring communication is targeted and relevant.

Benefits of Weekly Reports

  1. Consistent communication: Regular updates on their child’s online activity, helping them stay connected to what’s happening on their child’s school device.
  2. Encourages parent involvement: Regular updates and repeated communication are the best ways to involve the parent community and keep Cyber Safety in mind.
  3. Saves time for staff: Automated reports save time for school staff while providing high-quality information to parents.
  4. Boost Community adoption: Weekly Reports typically increase a school’s Community uptake by 15-20% resulting in more engagement from your parent community around cyber safety.
  5. Compliance with local legislation (Optional): Depending on your local laws, this feature may help meet legal requirements that mandate keeping parents and guardians informed about school activities.
