Companion Mode integrates Connect for Windows and browser extensions (Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge) to enhance the filtering and Classroom Management features available to Windows devices.
Important
Contact Linewize Support or your Success/Account Manager before you set up or deploy Companion Mode. Our Deployment and Support teams scope and tailor Companion Mode settings to your school's environment to avoid deployment issues.
Before you begin
You must have managed Windows devices.
Your devices meet the Linewize Connect Minimum System Requirements.
You must have access to Configuration in Linewize Filter.
Set Companion Mode
In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Mobile Agent.
In the On Linewize Filter Network and Off Linewize Filter Network sections, Select COMPANION from the Default Filtering Mode dropdown.
Select Save.
Deploy Linewize Connect
Once Companion mode is on, use your preferred deployment method to deploy the Connect for Windows app and the Connect browser extension for Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
