Guardians can’t pause the internet on their child’s school device

This article is for IT Support at schools using Linewize Community.

If a guardian is having trouble pausing the internet on their child’s school-managed device or if they aren’t able to see the Pause Internet option in their Qustodio app, it may be one of the following reasons:

Your school has turned off Pause Internet

You must turn on the Allow Pause Internet feature for guardians to pause the Internet on their children’s school-managed devices.

In Linewize Filter, go to Community > Configure Community and confirm that the Allow Pause Internet checkbox is selected.

They are trying to pause the Internet during school hours

Guardians can only pause the internet on school-managed devices outside the school hours or the non-school days set in your School Calendar. Guardians will see a message in their Qustodio app advising them when they can pause the internet on a school-managed device.

If they are trying to pause the Internet outside of school hours and it’s not working, go to Configuration > Calendar and check that your school hours and days are correct.
