Outside School Hours allows you to manage whether School Manager will include user activity that happens outside of school hours in its filtering policy reports and red flag alerts. This feature gives you greater control over what is reported, which is important in maintaining your school’s duty of care responsibilities and legal requirements.
Configure Outside School Hours in School Manager
Important
Outside School Hours does not affect your School Manager Content Filtering policies, which will continue to be applied as usual.
1. Set School Calendar
Once Outside School Hours is enabled, you must set your school's hours and days in the School Calendar.
2. Set Outside School Hours Options
Include Activity Outside School Hours
If you want your school to see user’s website and application usage outside school hours in School Manager:
- Go to Filtering > Outside School hours.
- Select the Include activity outside school hours in reporting checkbox.
- Select Save.
Trigger Red Flags Outside School Hours
If you want your school to receive Red Flags alerts for usage that happens both inside and outside school hours in School Manager:
- Go to Filtering > Outside School hours.
- Select the Trigger red flags for activity outside school hours checkbox.
- Select Save.
