Set up School Calendar in Linewize Filter

Linewize Filter’s School Calendar lets you set your school's operating hours and days, including non-school days. You can use it with the Outside School Hours tool to manage if Linewize Filter includes user activity outside school hours in its filtering policy reports and red flag alerts. For schools using Linewize Parent, Calendar also defines when student activity will be visible to parents through the Qustodio app and when parents can apply their Rules to school-managed devices.

Set School Time and Days

Set hours and days that your school operates during:

  1. In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Calendar.
  2. Select Set School Time & Days (only if no calendar is set).
  3. Select the Days using the checkboxes.
  4. Enter the Start time and End times in 24-hour format for each day (for example, 08:30 to 15:00).
    Use the Copy to all button if the times are the same for every day.
  5. Select Save School Time & Days.

Set Non-School Days

Add yearly holidays, breaks, and other non-school days:

  1. In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Calendar.
  2. Select Add Non-School Day.
  3. On the Add Non-School Day window:
    1. Enter a Name for the non-school day.
    2. Select a Date or date range for the non-school day.
    3. (Optional) Select the Recurs Yearly checkbox, if the non-school day repeats on the same date every year.
    4. Select Save.

  Tip

A new non-school day gets added to your calendar in chronological order, based on the start date. The newly added row gets highlighted briefly to show you where the new row has been added.

Edit Non-School Days

Change yearly holidays, breaks, and other non-school days:

  Note

You can't change past non-school days from your calendar.

  1. In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Calendar.
  2. Find the Non-School Day on the Name column.
  3. Select the day’s Edit (pencil icon).
  4. On the Edit Non-School Day window:
    1. Change the Name for the non-school day.
    2. Change the Date or date range for the non-school day.
    3. Change if the non-school day Recurs Yearly.
    4. If you have previously set the non-school day to recur yearly, you can optionally apply edits to the selected day only, or the selected and future calendar entries.
    5. Select Save.

Delete Non-School Days

Remove yearly holidays, breaks, and other non-school days:

  Note

You can’t delete past non-school days from your calendar.

  1. In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Calendar.
  2. Find the Non-School Day on the Name column.
  3. Select the day’s Delete (bin icon).
  4. On the Delete Non-School Day window:
    1. If recurs yearly, delete one or all future instances of the Recurring Non-School Day.
    2. Select Delete.
