When users on your school’s network try to access restricted content, they will see a block page instead. You can customise the Block Page for devices using WEB filtering in Linewize Filter.
Before You begin
1. Prepare your logo. Your logo image must meet these requirements:
- Dimensions: No more than 100px height and width.
- Format: JPEG, PNG, SVG or WEBP image file types.
- File size: Up to 150 KB.
2. Turn on the Block Page option on at least one Filtering Policy.
- In Linewize Filter, go to Filtering > Content Filtering.
- Select Edit (pencil icon) for the policy you want to edit.
- Select the Blocked Page checkbox.
- Select Save Policy.
Customize a Block Page
- In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Block Page.
- Select the Enabled Custom Block Page checkbox.
- (Optional) Select the Hide Bypass Code checkbox. When not selected, the Block Page shows the bypass code field. Users can enter a Bypass Code to access blocked content not in a Locked policy temporarily.
- Click Select File in Custom Logo and select your image file.
- (Optional) In the Custom Message field, add a message no longer than 50 words.
- (Optional) In the Internet Usage Policy Link field, paste or type the URL for your school’s Internet Usage Policy.
- (Optional) On the Permission to Logout from the Block Page dropdown, select Group or Exclude Group, then choose a group from the corresponding Group or Exclude Group dropdown. For example, you can allow teachers to log out of the filter while excluding students.
- Select Save.

The Block page doesn’t appear
- Test the filtering policy should block the website by using the Test Policy tool.
- Check if you’ve enabled the Block Page option on the filtering policy.
Users receive “Your connection is not private” or “Log in to network"
errors
You will not see Block pages on computers that do not have Linewize Connect or Linewize CA Certificates (SSL) installed.
You can resolve this issue by deploying Linewize Connect to the device or advise users that websites blocked by your school’s policies will display this error.
