If you turned off automatic updates, Linewize Support may instruct you to manually update your appliance while troubleshooting an issue.
Important
Only update Linewize Filter after school hours as you must restart the appliance. Linewize Filter features are turned off while the appliance restarts.
Before you begin
- You must have access to Debugging in Linewize Filter.
- You must have a Linewize Filter Appliance at your school.
Update Linewize Filter Appliance
- Go to Debugging > Device Updates.
- Check the Active Version and the Latest Version fields. If the Latest Version field is blank, your Linewize Filter Appliance is up to date.
- If the Latest Version field shows a newer version number, select Update.
- (Optional) In the Automatic section, select the Enabled checkbox to turn automatic updates on. Important: If you use Connect for Windows or macOS at your school, turning on automatic updates will also automatically update Connect on Windows and macOS devices. Manually updating the Linewize Filter Appliance will not update Connect.
