Due to Apple’s process of retiring Rosetta 2, Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 26.4 may show a notification advising that Linewize Connect relies on Rosetta 2.
Important
You must use a Mobile Device Management (MDM) to hide these notifications as Apple doesn’t allow individual users to access these settings.
Jamf Pro
Follow Jamf Pro’s documentation for hiding Rosetta notifications.
Microsoft Intune and other MDMs
Download the configuration profile
Download the TurnOffRosettaUsageAwareness.mobileconfig file and edit the PayloadOrganization value to your school’s name.
Deploy using Microsoft Intune
- In Intune, go to Devices > macOS > Configuration profiles > Create profile.
- Choose Templates > Custom.
- Upload the TurnOffRosettaUsageAwareness.mobileconfig file.
- Assign it to the relevant device groups and select Save.
Other MDMs
If your MDM can deploy configuration profiles, follow your provider’s instructions to deploy the configuration profile to your devices.
Check the configuration profile on the device
On a device you’ve deployed the configuration profile to:
- Go to System Settings > General > Device Management (or Profiles).
- Confirm the Turn Off Rosetta Usage Awareness profile is installed.
- Check Linewize Connect to see if the notification appears.
