If your school lets teachers allow content in Classwize, you can use Locked Block Filtering Policies to stop teachers from accidentally allowing content that goes against your school’s policies. Ensure any Locked Block Policies specifically block content deemed unacceptable by your school, as blocking too many categories can be disruptive during class.
Tip
Use Locked Block Policies for categories like Malware or Illegal Content, but not for Gaming or YouTube, in case a teacher wants to allow students to play Chess or watch a YouTube video during class.
Before you begin
- You must have permission to manage Filtering.
Lock Block a Filtering Policy
- Go to Filtering > Content Filtering.
- Create a Filtering Policy or edit an existing Filtering Policy.
- In the Edit Policy window, check the Locked checkbox.
- Select Save.
Tip
Save time by duplicating policies that use the same content filtering settings.
