Set up alerts for attempts to access blocked content

You can use Filtering Alerts to set Linewize Filter to send a real-time notification when a particular Filtering Policy blocks a user. Wellbeing and leadership staff can use Filtering Alerts to see which students are trying to access distracting content, such as games or memes.

Before you begin

• You must have permission to manage Filtering.
• Confirm the Block policy details with the alert recipient and ensure the policy is specific. Important: Linewize Filter will send no more than 20 emails to a single recipient within a 24-hour period to prevent flooding.
• Set up Filtering Alerts for a recipient and ensure their email address is correct.

Turn on alerts for a Block policy

1. Create or edit an existing Block Policy for the content you want to receive alerts for.
2. Select the Alert checkbox.
3. Select Save Policy.
