You can archive a Local Group to turn it off without deleting it, allowing future use if needed. To avoid errors, turn off or remove any linked policies first.

You can't archive Synced Groups in Linewize Filter. Instead, you must archive the group in your School Directory and then sync with Linewize Filter.
Step 1: Remove or turn off Policies using the Group
- Go to Filtering > Content Filtering.
- Find any policy that includes the group.
You can either:

Turn off the policy (to reuse later) |

Remove the group from the policy |

Delete the policy (if no longer needed) |

Step 2: Archive the Group

Archived groups can be restored later if needed.
- Go to Configuration > Users and Groups > Groups.
- Find the group, then select the Delete (Trash) icon. The Archive Group dialog will appear. Select Archive Group.
