Change Filtering Mode for Linewize Connect

You can change the Filtering Mode for Linewize Connect to access different features depending on your school’s needs. If your school uses a Linewize Filter Appliance, you can choose different Filtering Modes for when devices are on or off the Linewize Filter Network.

Before you begin

Change Filtering Mode

  Important

If your school uses Cloud Filtering, you must configure the Off Linewize Filter Network settings.

  1. In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Mobile Agent.
  2. In the On/Off Linewize Filter Network sections, for Default Filtering Mode, select either:
    1. DNS
    2. WEB
    3. COMPANION

        Important

      Follow the Companion Mode guide to set up Companion Mode.

  3. (Optional) Allow specific groups to bypass filtering.
  4. (Optional) Set different Filtering Modes for groups of users.
  5. (Optional) If using WEB Filtering Mode, select MITM to turn on Man in the middle (MITM).
  6. Select Save.
