You can use the Connect diagnostics page to verify that the Connect app and Authentication Agent are properly installed on student devices and that the correct user is logged in.
Important
The diagnostic page can only be used for:
- Connect for Windows version 4.1.7 or newer.
- Connect for macOS version 3.6.6 or newer.
Check the diagnostics page
Open your Internet browser and go to http://127.0.0.1:5110
Check if Connect is installed
If the diagnostics page does not load, Connect may not be installed on the device.
Install Connect for Windows or macOS if needed, and try accessing the diagnostics page again.
Check if the correct user is logged in
If the diagnostics page loads but no user is logged in, or the wrong user is shown, this means the required Connect app or Authentication Agent may not be installed or configured correctly.
Install the appropriate Connect app or Authentication Agent and check that the diagnostic page shows the correct user.
The requirements differ by operating system and Connect version, as outlined below:
-
Windows:
- If Connect for Windows version 5 or newer is installed, no Authentication Agent is required.
-
macOS:
- Ensure both Connect for macOS and the Authentication Agent are installed and configured correctly.
