Automated Browser Policy provides an easier way to deploy browser extension policies for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge without relying on Microsoft Intune or Group Policy. Use this method if your school has no MDM or faces challenges with MDM deployments.
Before you begin
- You must set up Companion Mode.
Deploy using Automated Browser Policy
In Linewize Filter, Automated Browser Policy deployment allows the Connect for Windows agent to install browser extension policies.
1. Turn on Automated Browser Policy deployment
- In Linewize Filter, go to Configuration > Agent Downloads.
- Select the Deploy Companion Mode Policy checkbox.
- Select Save.
2. Confirm successful policy installation
Check that the policies for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or both have been installed successfully.
