School Manager’s School Calendar lets you set the operating hours and days of your school. You can use it with the Outside School Hours tool to manage if School Manager will include user activity that happens outside school hours in its filtering policy reports and red flag alerts. For schools using Linewize Community, Calendar also affects when parents can use the Pause Internet feature.
Set School Time and Days
Set hours and days that your school operates during:
- In School Manager, go to Configuration > Calendar.
- Enter a Start time and End time in 24-hour clock format.
- Select the Days using the checkboxes.
- Select Save School Time & Days.
Set Non-School Day
Add yearly holidays, breaks, and other non-school days:
- In School Manager, go to Configuration > Calendar.
- Select Add Non-School Day.
- On the Add Non-School Day window:
- Enter a Name for the non-school day.
- Select a Date or date range for the non-school day.
- (Optional) Select the Recurs Yearly checkbox, if the non-school day repeats on the same date every year.
- Select Add Non-School Day.
Tip
A new non-school day gets added to your calendar in chronological order, based on the start date. The newly added row gets highlighted briefly to show you where the new row has been added.
Edit Non-School Day
Change yearly holidays, breaks, and other non-school days:
Note
You can't change past non-school days from your calendar.
- In School Manager, go to Configuration > Calendar.
- Find the Non-School Day on the Name column.
- Select the day’s Edit (pencil icon).
- On the Edit Non-School Day window:
- Change the Name for the non-school day.
- Change the Date or date range for the non-school day.
- Change if the non-school day Recurs Yearly.
- If recurs yearly, change one or all future instances of the Recurring Non-School Day.
- Select Save.
Delete Non-School Day
Remove yearly holidays, breaks, and other non-school days:
Note
You can’t delete past non-school days from your calendar.
- In School Manager, go to Configuration > Calendar.
- Find the Non-School Day on the Name column.
- Select the day’s Delete (bin icon).
- On the Delete Non-School Day window:
- If recurs yearly, delete one or all future instances of the Recurring Non-School Day.
- Select Delete.
