Parents and guardians at schools using Linewize Community and School Manager can connect to a student through the Qustodio Parent App. This connection provides parents and guardians with an overview of the student’s activity on school-managed devices and other enabled Community features, such as Pause Internet.
School Manager allows you to disconnect this connection or opt the parent and guardian out of Community, revoking the parent's or guardian’s access to the student’s activity overview. Disconnecting withdraws a parent’s or guardian’s existing connection, while removing stops the parent or guardian from being able to connect in the first place. A disconnected parent or guardian can reconnect, but a removed parent or guardian can’t reconnect.
Warning
If you remove a parent or guardian while syncing data from a SIS, ensure they are removed from the SIS to prevent them from being continuously synced back to School Manager.
You can disconnect guardians from students via the student’s Manage User page or the Community Parent Management page.
Opt out or disconnect (Student User page)
- Go to School Manager > Configuration > Users and Groups > Users.
- In the search bar, enter the student’s name or email address.
- Select the student’s username.
- Under Parent Details, select Disconnect Parent.
- A confirmation window will appear, select Yes, Disconnect Parent.

If there are multiple parents or guardians, repeat these steps until all parents or guardians are removed.
Opt out or disconnect (Parent Management page)
- Go to School Manager > Community > Parent Management.
- In the search bar, enter the parent's name or email address.
- Select the arrow icon.
- A new window will appear with the parent’s or guardian’s details. Select Disconnect.
- A confirmation window will appear. Select Disconnect.
