A student has duplicate accounts

Having duplicate student accounts can occur when:

  • The BAC CSV does not have the correct usernames. This will create duplicate accounts when the student is Auto Enrolled.
  • Parents and the School are making separate accounts for the child/student.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Go to Users Students.
  2. Select the student’s duplicate account.
  3. Select Unlink
  4. On the reason for unlinking dropdown, select Student record was duplicated, and then select Yes, Unlink.

Students appear in the wrong year group

Students appearing in the wrong year group can occur by:

  • Not selecting a Year group when uploading the BAC CSV.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Go to Users > Students.
  2. Select a student with the wrong year group.
  3. Using the Year Group dropdown, select the correct year group.

This can be a time-consuming process, as you can only do one student at a time.

Students from another school are appearing in your school

Students from other schools may appear in your school when:

You will not receive a notification if a student from another school appears in your school’s SCP. Their accounts appear in the unclaimed section without a student ID.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Go to Users > Students.
  2. Select the student account.
  3. Select Unlink
  4. On the reason for unlinking dropdown, select User is not a member of the school, and then select Yes, Unlink.
