Signing In and Changing Your Password in SCP

This article explains how to sign in to School Community Platform (SCP). It discusses how to change and reset your password and provides some troubleshooting steps if you’re having trouble signing in.

Signing to SCP for the first time

1. When a Linewize Service Delivery Engineer (SDE) creates your account, you will receive a confirmation email. The email will include your email address and temporary password.
2. To activate your account, follow the sign in link in the email.
3. Sign in to SCP using your email address and temporary password.

Signing in to SCP

1. To sign in to SCP, navigate to http://portal.familyzone.com
2. Enter your email address and password.

Changing your Password

1. In SCP, select the arrow next to your name in the top right of the page, select My Account 

2. Under the Password section, select Edit

3. Type in your old password, your new password and select Save. 

Resetting your Password

1. If you have forgotten your password, select Forgot password?
2. Enter your email address and select Reset, a Forgotten password dialog box will appear, select Ok
3. You will receive an email with a link to reset your password
4. Type in your new password and select Submit. Your password will need to be at least eight (8) characters long.
5. Your password will be reset, select Return to sign in.

Troubleshooting

 I haven’t received my confirmation email

• Check your Junk or Spam folder in your inbox
• Go to http://portal.familyzone.com and reset your password
• If this doesn’t work, please contact your school’s IT administrator

I can’t save my new password

• You will not be able to save your new password unless it is at least eight characters long.

I can’t find the URL to sign in to SCP

• Go to http://portal.familyzone.com
