Frequently Asked Questions
What if the student removes the Connect App?
If the Connect App is removed from a device, it will still be enrolled in the School Community Platform, but will not be filtered. After you download and reinstall the Connect App, the user’s details will be displayed and you will see a red banner at the top of the screen.
- Tap the red banner. The Connect App Permissions will open.
- Tap ALLOW to reinstate the permissions (see step 8 in the installation steps).
What if the student resets the iOS device and erases all content?
If an iOS device has had a factory reset, the student will be unenrolled from SCP and the device will be unprotected. You can find unprotected devices in your SCP dashboard. You will need to reinstall the Connect App in Filter Only mode.
Can parents set up Connect on their child’s BYO iOS device?
Yes! Parents can install Family Zone Connect in Filter Only mode using their parent email address if you have added it to SCP.
If their account is not linking to the Filter-Only option, check in SCP to see if their email address is correct.
