Linewize Filter’s Filtering options let you create policies on content access, searching, and reporting. Filtering also lets you generate bypass codes to allow users to access blocked content not included in a Locked policy.
Content Filtering
You can create new content filtering policies, turn them on/off, or arrange them by priority. Linewize Filter enforces content filtering policies according to their listed order, so policies at the top take precedence over those below.
| A. Category Search | Enter a website into the Category Search tool to see its Category and Signature. It will also show any existing filtering policies that affect the website (block/allow). |
| B. Test Policy | Use this tool to check whether a website is blocked or allowed for a specific user based on your active policy set, including active Classwize rules. |
| C. Create Policy | Create a new filtering policy. Note: Linewize Filter will not automatically activate new filtering policies. You will need to turn on new policies when you’re ready. |
| D. Edit Policy | Configure the selected filtering policy. |
| E. Delete Policy | Remove the selected filtering policy. |
| F. Move Policy | Change the order of a filtering policy. |
| G. Enable Policy | Switch on/off a selected filtering policy. |

Safe Search
Warning
If your school uses Google Workspace for Education to manage Safe Search, do not add Google or YouTube Safe Search in Linewize Filter. Google Workspace users can still use Linewize Filter for Bing Safe Search if required.
Linewize Filter Owner/Global Administrators and Filtering Administrators can enable Safe Search to ensure search results in Google, YouTube, or Bing are appropriate for specific groups or users. You can also configure Safe Search based on devices or network information, such as MAC address, IP address, or network range.
| A. Add Policy | Create a new blank filtering rule. Once configured, the new safe search policy will activate automatically. |
| B. Move Policy | Change the order of a safe search policy. |
| C. Edit Policy | Configure the selected safe search policy. |
| D. Delete Policy | Remove the selected safe search policy. |

Reports and Alerts
Linewize Filter offers a variety of email reports and alerts to help you monitor the wellbeing of your users and to spot any changes in your users’ devices or online activities. You can use the Reports and Alerts page to manage when Linewize Filter emails specific users or groups reports and alerts.
- A Report email summarizes the most frequent activity for your top users over a period of time (a calendar day or week).
- An Alert is a real-time email sent each time a user triggers a specified Red Flag or block rule.
The Reports and Alerts page displays recipients' email addresses, filters, report types, and edit and delete operations for each report.

Bypass Codes
Administrators can create Bypass Codes to give users temporary access to blocked sites, apps, or searches that are not within Locked policies.
Available codes
The Bypass Codes Available page displays the list of available codes and the code's creator, creation, expiry dates, and status. You can sort the table according to the column heading in ascending or descending order.

Active codes
The Bypass Codes Active page includes current and previously used codes and their users. The list will not include unused bypass codes.
| A. Search Code Creator | Filter the list of codes by Code, Username, IP Address, or MAC Address. |
| B. Sort List | Toggle the arrow buttons to sort Codes, Usernames, MAC Address lists alphabetically, or IP addresses based on number order. |
| C. Status | Displays the status of codes in use (Active/Expired). Toggle arrow buttons to sort the list by Active or Expired codes. |
Available versus Active Bypass Codes
You can reuse Available codes generated in Classwize or Linewize Filter until it expires. Active codes are displayed in the list when a user uses a bypass code on a block page or enters the code on the http://my.linewize.net (HTTP, not HTTPS) page..
