Linewize Filter uses an authentication system designed to enhance security and provide a unified Single Sign-On (SSO) experience across all Linewize products. Depending on your school’s Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) consent settings, an Entra administrator may need to allow app access to ensure users can sign in without issues.
Important
If you're already able to sign in to the Linewize Filter dashboard using Microsoft credentials, no further authorisation is required.
- Go to the Linewize Filter sign-in page. Use Sign in to Linewize Filter to find the correct web address for your region.
- Select Continue with Microsoft.
- Sign in to Microsoft Entra with your Administrator credentials.
- Review your user consent and admin consent settings in Microsoft Entra.
- Configure one of the following recommended options in Microsoft Entra:
- Option 1: No User Consent, Admin Consent Requests On. This option is best for full administrator control.
- Settings:
- User consent: Do not allow user consent
- Admin consent requests: Yes
- What happens:
- Users cannot authorise apps themselves.
- When users try to sign in with apps, they’re prompted to request admin approval.
- Administrators can approve or deny the request in Microsoft Entra.
- Settings:
- Option 2: Limited User Consent Allowed. This option is best for reducing administrator workload while maintaining oversight.
- Settings:
- User consent: Allowed only for apps from verified publishers with selected permissions
- Admin consent requests: Yes
- What happens:
- Users can authorise apps if they meet the set criteria.
- Administrators are prompted only for apps that request broader access.
- Settings:
- Option 1: No User Consent, Admin Consent Requests On. This option is best for full administrator control.
- After configuring your preferred option, return to the Linewize Filter sign-in page.
- Select Continue with Microsoft again to complete sign-in.
