Parental Controls allows parents and guardians to manage and filter their child's school-managed Chromebook or Windows device outside school hours using the Qustodio Parent app. During school hours, Parental Controls are automatically turned off to ensure that parents’ or guardians' rules do not interfere with learning or override school policies.
To turn on Parental Controls, you must:
Once set up, parents and guardians can use the Qustodio Parent app to:
- Create their own filtering rules.
- Limit their child’s daily screen time on the device.
- Control when their child can use the device for specific time periods.
If a student is blocked by school policies, they will see the School Manager block page. If both school policies and Qustodio rules block the same content, the student will still see the School Manager block page. However, if only the parents' and guardians’ Qustodio rules block the content, the student will see the Qustodio block page.
